Scheme document
Issue 5 (July 2025) replaced Issue 4, and its one substantive change was adding the Gate Person role. Older issues still turn up in search results, so check your copy against Lantra's Schedule of Suppliers page.
Buying TM
The list of certified 12D organisations moved from Lantra to UKAS CertCheck in 2022. A contractor's certificate scope should name each category of work you are buying. Operatives' cards are checked separately, on CSCS Smart Check or the Lantra card checker.
Training
Issue 5 made Gate Person training mandatory for anyone who controls entry into or through a traffic management system. The scheme document gives the start date as 1 September 2025 and Lantra gives 1 October 2025. Both dates have now passed.
